Speaker Mitch Shapiro, president/CEO and founder of the Foundation for Sight & Sound, handed out earplugs and blindfolds to students at his presentation on Feb. 27 in an effort to recreate for them his experience as a person with hearing and sight impairments. The presentation was hosted by Deaf-Hearing Connection and Deafblind-Family and Community Educational Supports.
